Apps developed by Graeme Wheller do not collect, transmit or store any user information except for two specific cases:
- anonymous technical data to deliver ads, help monitor app performance and diagnose any crashes (these data are collected by Google’s AdMob and Firebase services), and
- where a user taps “yes” in the prompt asking if an earthquake was felt, the generalized location of the user’s device (expressed as somewhere within a 500 meters by 500 meters square area) is used to show other users where an earthquake was felt. This location information is stored on users’ devices and automatically deleted after 24 hours.
The apps request permission to determine the user’s location when they are installed. If granted the app will determine whether the device is located within a volcanic hazard zone and its distance from the app volcano. This information is not transmitted outside the user’s device. The app will still operate if permission is denied but without the features that require location.
The apps may also include advertising provided by Google’s AdMob service. Apart from removing various advertising themes that are not appropriate Graeme Wheller has no control over the advertisements shown or the data distribution policies of Google and its partners.
Specifically, Google and its partners may be placing and reading cookies on users’ devices, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on users’ devices. Apart from the general information provided by Google in its AdMob service Graeme Wheller does not have access to any data collected by Google and its partners that would identify any user.

App Privacy
Le app sviluppate da Graeme Wheller non raccolgono, trasmettono o archiviano alcuna informazione utente, fatta eccezione per due casi specifici:
- dati tecnici anonimi per fornire annunci pubblicitari, aiutare a monitorare le prestazioni dell’app e diagnosticare eventuali crash (questi dati vengono raccolti dai servizi AdMob e Firebase di Google) e
- quando un utente tocca “sì” nel prompt che chiede se è stato avvertito un terremoto, la posizione generalizzata del dispositivo dell’utente (espressa come da qualche parte entro un’area quadrata di 500 metri per 500 metri) viene utilizzata per mostrare ad altri utenti dove è stato avvertito un terremoto. Queste informazioni sulla posizione vengono archiviate sui dispositivi degli utenti e automaticamente eliminate dopo 24 ore.
Le app richiedono l’autorizzazione per determinare la posizione dell’utente quando vengono installate. Se concessa, l’app determinerà se il dispositivo si trova all’interno di una zona a rischio vulcanico e la sua distanza dal vulcano dell’app. Queste informazioni non vengono trasmesse all’esterno del dispositivo dell’utente. L’app continuerà a funzionare se l’autorizzazione viene negata, ma senza le funzionalità che richiedono la posizione.
Le app possono anche includere pubblicità fornite dal servizio AdMob di Google. Oltre a rimuovere vari temi pubblicitari non appropriati, Graeme Wheller non ha alcun controllo sugli annunci mostrati o sulle politiche di distribuzione dei dati di Google e dei suoi partner.
In particolare, Google e i suoi partner potrebbero posizionare e leggere cookie sui dispositivi degli utenti o utilizzare web beacon per raccogliere informazioni come risultato della pubblicazione di annunci sui dispositivi degli utenti. Oltre alle informazioni generali fornite da Google nel suo servizio AdMob, Graeme Wheller non ha accesso ad alcun dato raccolto da Google e dai suoi partner che possa identificare un utente.

App data protection
Von Graeme Wheller entwickelte Apps erfassen, übermitteln oder speichern keine Nutzerdaten, außer in zwei besonderen Fällen:
- Anonyme technische Daten zur Anzeigenschaltung, zur Überwachung der App-Leistung und zur Diagnose von Abstürzen (diese Daten werden von den Google-Diensten AdMob und Firebase erfasst).
- Wenn ein Nutzer in der Abfrage, ob ein Erdbeben spürbar war, auf „Ja“ tippt, wird der allgemeine Standort des Geräts des Nutzers (angegeben als ein Ort innerhalb eines 500 x 500 Meter großen Quadrats) verwendet, um anderen Nutzern anzuzeigen, wo ein Erdbeben spürbar war. Diese Standortinformationen werden auf den Geräten der Nutzer gespeichert und nach 24 Stunden automatisch gelöscht.
Die Apps fordern bei der Installation die Erlaubnis zur Standortbestimmung des Nutzers an. Wird diese erteilt, ermittelt die App, ob sich das Gerät in einer vulkanischen Gefahrenzone befindet und wie weit es vom Vulkan entfernt ist. Diese Informationen werden nicht außerhalb des Geräts des Nutzers übertragen. Die App funktioniert auch bei Verweigerung der Erlaubnis, jedoch ohne die Funktionen, die eine Standortbestimmung erfordern.
Die Apps können auch Werbung enthalten, die von Google AdMob bereitgestellt wird. Abgesehen von der Entfernung verschiedener ungeeigneter Werbemotive hat Graeme Wheller keinen Einfluss auf die angezeigten Anzeigen oder die Datenverteilungsrichtlinien von Google und seinen Partnern.
Insbesondere können Google und seine Partner Cookies auf den Geräten der Nutzer platzieren und lesen oder Web Beacons verwenden, um Informationen aus der Anzeigenschaltung auf den Geräten der Nutzer zu sammeln. Abgesehen von den allgemeinen Informationen, die Google in seinem AdMob-Dienst bereitstellt, hat Graeme Wheller keinen Zugriff auf von Google und seinen Partnern erhobene Daten, die Nutzer identifizieren würden.
